538-0 is a free presidential election simulator built around one question: what's the most absurd ticket that could still sweep the electoral college? Spin up candidates from every era of American history — plus famous names who never ran — pick a running mate, choose your platform, and watch the results roll in state by state on election night.
How the electoral college simulator works
Every candidate, policy, and state in the game has its own political DNA. Your ticket's charm, fame, war chest, home-state appeal, and platform are scored against all 51 electoral battlegrounds — 538 electoral votes in all. Win the White House with 270. Chase the perfect 538-0 sweep for the leaderboard. Or discover what happens when a ticket betrays its own base.
One more thing
There are two leaderboards that re-set daily. The second one is for players who figure out how to lose all 538. We're not saying you should. We're saying it's been done.

How to Play
Draw your President. You're dealt candidates from a random era of history. Pick one, or spin again — you get 3 re-spins for the whole game, so spend them carefully.
Draw your Vice President. Same deal. A running mate from a different region or wing of the map can patch your weaknesses. Or double down. We're not your consultants.
Pick your platform. Choose 3 policies. The map won't show you what they do — you'll find out live on election night. Policies marked in red are… spicy.
Pick one campaign strategy. Same screen, one choice: go positive, go negative, work the media, or roll the dice on a dirty trick. Anything marked 🎲 can backfire — and when it does, it takes states with it.
Watch election night. States get called one by one. 270 electoral votes wins the White House. 538 is a perfect sweep. And if you somehow win zero… there's a leaderboard for that too.
About the numbers. Charm and Fame are rough gameplay knobs based on public profile and how widely known someone is — not endorsements.
War Chest reflects documented campaign fundraising history — not wealth, and not worth.
This game doesn't rate anyone's honesty or character, so there's no stat for it.
